AAO-HNS Focuses on Advancement of Otolaryngology

Rande Lazar, MD, is a medical specialist with more than three decades of practical experience in the field of pediatric otolaryngology. In addition, Rande Lazar, MD, is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS). Founded in 1896 by Kansas-based otolaryngologist Dr. Hal Foster, the AAO-HNS is a professional organization for otolaryngology practitioners. With more than 12,000 members, it’s the largest organization of medical practitioners specializing in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery in the world. Represented physicians are capable of treating common medical disorders affecting the head and neck, including cancer, ear infections, sore throat, sinusitis, sleep apnea, and snoring – among many others. Being a non-profit and educational organization, the AAO-HNS focuses on the advancement of the art and science of otolaryngology practice. This is accomplished by providing opportunities for continuing education to its members and through its advocacy of and commitment to conducting groundbreaking research that will help build and improve upon current practice standards.
